RATINGS FIXES   (Improved Projections)


With enough data built up after three years of national coverage-- for the first time in 2006, we used historical ratings of the teams (including head-to-head history) as a small factor in projecting game scores.  As was hoped, this resulted in improved accuracy of our early-season picks.

This tweak can be thought of as the precursor to the Early-Season Inaccuracies fix, as we tried out the notion of slightly counting historical information as opposed to using data from the current year only...and all went well.
